  • Summer '09

Its officially coming to a close and I'm feeling somewhat nostalgic!
A bitter wind lashes against my bare legs and the good mood banished.
Soon it will be time to snuggle up in our winter thermals..huddling for warmth, macs and beany hats.
I like the Autumn, i like watching as leaves litter the pavements, slowly and romanticly twisting and turning in the wind.
but, it doesnt have the same charm as summer.
Getting dressed in the morning actually needs consideration.
No more shoving on thin layers, anything goes.
You cant just lounge around in random parks..
you have to source out a venue, somewhere warm, intimate and fun.
So good bye to the easygoing lounging, and hello to the hotchocolates and mince pies :)
    Autumn is here.

We sat there in the dark, staring at the sparkling head lights gliding silently through the thick trees.
an eery silence, or chemistry crackling in the silence.
I think i fell in love that night.
with that soft, tender kiss, your hands lightly holding my chin..
    it was a good moment..
where time seemed to stand still.
It seems almost surreal, like, ive dreamt it up out of thin air.
its too good to be true!

  • ..I think im in love..

    love

    You had me at "hello."

  • "Its oh so quiet.."

I have finally found my favourite secret place.
Woke this morning with a sudden urge to just walk, away from my grimey little neighbourhood, to a place which holds a beautiful tranquility.
Heading towards rodmersham armed with orange juice and an apple, i set off in my cute red wellies,
    panting up scratchy!..BON VOYAGE!..
it was a sight for sore eyes i tell you.
I stop at a small meadow, just off from the pub..surrounded by gnarled trees beggin' to be climbed.
I sat for hours, watching the clouds drift on by, listening to the romantic lullabys of Regina Spektors.
A small, infinite, possibly irrelevant moment I wanted to catch in a jar and only open when im feeling down.
I love the contentment found in the most trivial of things!
Rodmersham:             the place to be on a sunny saturday Sittingbourne morning!
     J'aime la Vie :)

  • Life as we know it..

Im an 18 year old art student from sittingbourne, kent.
My ambition in life? To find contentment.
I see the world through an abstract mind.
I see a world controlled by greed, lust, power and revenge.
A world where war becomes an art form.
A world consumed by destruction and disaster.
People can no longer see the positives, focusing on the dingy negatives which plague the news at 6 o'clock every single night.

Dont you ever sit and wonder what the world would be like without war and politics?
Would we be run by anarchy?
or would everyone be at peace.

We waste too much time thinking "what if"
we need to seize the day.
Life is too short to wallow in self pity.

I want to be able to grow old and reflect on my life..
and to think.."Ruth, you lived a fulfilled life"

    My plans for the future?
    No idea.
But, what i do know is I want to do as much as I can for our planet...
Even if it seems the most irrelevant thing.
